In 1457 the first documented evidence of golf in Scotland was found when King James II banned the game as it interfered with archery practise.
Fast forward to 2022 and the game in Scotland is now a way of life for many. The 1457 Society is your home for golf in Scotland. A community of like-minded golfers sharing their love of the game, connecting with friends new and old.

What is discord?
Discord is a voice, video and chat platform purpose-built for communities. Community spaces are called “servers,”each of which has its own members, topics, rules and channels. The 1457 Society server is our digital home, or as some might call it - our clubhouse, which allows us to connect with one another and gain access to online events and share stories with the game we love.
